Canon G1010 Reset Tool

- Setup instruction. Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings. Double-click the downloaded.exe file. It will be decompressed and the Setup screen will be displayed. Follow the instructions to install the software and perform the necessary settings.
- If the printer cannot be turned off, unplug it. Set printer to transporting mode. Press and hold RESUME/CANCEL button, and then release it when Alarm lamp flashes 8 times. The printer is set to transporting mode and turned off. Confirm that the ON lamp is off and unplug the power cord.

Before using this software, make sure your Canon printer can enter into “service mode”, each printer has a different way to get into “service mode”. In general, here’s how to enter service mode on a Canon printer.

- Turn off the Canon printer, don’t unplugging the power cable.
- Press and hold Resume button then press the Power button.
- Keep pressing the Power button and release the Resume button.
- Then press the 5x Resume button.
- Then release all the Power & Resume buttons.
- The power LED will blink and you’re in Service Mode and your printer ready to reset.
